I have always been concerned about what I fed my dogs but, like most people, I fed kibble for much of my time with pets. When I started showing and breeding I became aware of "quality" foods. Ingredients became important and I became more aware of the non-essential components of the foods. As I learned more about feeding naturally I realized that most of the kibble ingredients are non-essential and those that are essential have been destroyed through the processing.

Now I was between a rock and a hard place. I understood that natural was better but I had heard so many people talk about feeding methods that made me uncomfortable. It wasn't until about six years ago that I realized that feeding didn't need to be a struggle. I didn't need to spend my weekends grinding and packaging. I didn't need to go out of my comfort zone with feeding methods. I could do the best for my dogs and still have time to spend with them.

So now I started the learning process for producing and maintaining healthy dogs. There's so much more than just food involved in the wellness of our pets. Busydog Ventures began in 2004 and it was a no-brainer what we would choose as our slogan.

In order to help as many pets as possible I decided that our services needed to range beyond food. At the time I was starting up I was assisting with puppy and obedience classes at Tymtels Obedience. Plans are still in the works for a training building of our own.

Part of learning is listening and reading. With that in mind I have hosted three seminars covering a range of topics from obedience to reproduction. I'm always planning the next seminar that will help you learn to care for your pets in the best way possible.

Last year I was introduced to Animal Naturals products and I was honoured to be given the exclusive distributorship for Canada.
